Tired of laying
on a beach? You’d like to move, burn some calories and see
something more than just the beach and the boardwalk?
Great! We would like to invite you for a trip in the
vicinity of Świnoujście. Sea the heart of the ‘land
of
44 islands’, situated between the islands of Wolin and Uznam
in the wild delta of the Oder River. Dozens of mysteries of
the past and nature, hundreds of fascinating places and
landscapes are waiting for you. Just follow the tourist
trails. The network of trails on the city land is 150 km
long! It consists of 9 marked cycling, hiking,
education and kayaking trails, of which 6 are completely
new, opened in
May 2005.
The new trails are marked and prepared to meet European
tourist standards. The trails are fre e
from any obstacles, cleared and hardened. The trails are
well marked with 249 visible signs
placed on trees and boards. Along the trails established are
12 shelters equipped, among others, with
bicycle stands.
It is hard to get lost on the trail. Tourists may rest,
study a map or break for lunch before they continue their
trip. To make your trip along the trails not only
pleasurable but also interesting and salutary, the most
attractive locations have been marked with more than 40
education boards. Some of them describe the history of a
given place, others tell us more about the nature, animal
habits, life of the forest, and species of flora. One of the
most beautiful corners of our country is right ahead of you.
So don’t waste your time and set out.
